  • Why is APTA Pennsylvania insisting on full COVID-19 vaccination?
    • After careful consideration, APTA PA leadership has determined that the 2021 MovePA Annual Conference can be the safest, most robust, productive and interactive meeting possible by requiring vaccinations for entry.
  • Can I provide a negative COVID test, medical or religious exemption in lieu of a vaccine?
    • No. For the safety, security and peace of mind of our guests, we are requiring COVID-19 vaccinations to attend the APTA PA MovePA 2021 Annual Educational Conference.
  • How can I provide proof of vaccination?
    • Vaccination cards will be required at the registration desk upon check-in. A hardcopy or photo of your vaccination card will be accepted – card must list the name used on your conference registration.
  • Why do I have to wear a mask if I am vaccinated?
    • In an abundance of caution and with awareness of variant spread, we will wear masks during all meeting sessions. Unless an attendee is actively eating or drinking, it is expected that a properly positioned (over both nose and mouth) mask will be in place. All attendees have agreed to abide by the COVID-19 prevention policies set in place at the meeting.
  • What happens if I have already registered and I am not going to be vaccinated before the conference?
    • You will have the option to be completely refunded. Contact Tricia Long at [email protected] with your request.
  • What safety precautions will be in place?
    • Social distancing of three feet while in education sessions onsite. While not required at this time, APTA PA is taking this extra precaution while attendees are in learning sessions.
    • Mask wearing is required while not actively eating or drinking. Speakers will be more than 6ft away from attendees while speaking and may choose to not wear their mask during this time. If this extra precaution is amended as a requirement due to guidance changes, we will communicate that update to everyone.
  • How do I find federal and local regulations regarding COVID-19?
  • What should I do if I believe I may have COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 within two weeks prior to attending the conference?
    • Stay home!
    • Contact Tricia Long at [email protected] for a refund of your registration fee.
  • What should I do if I do not feel well while attending the APTA PA MovePA 2021 Annual Conference?
    • Stay in your room until otherwise directed.
    • Contact Tricia Long via email at [email protected] or via text at 615-587-0081. We will assist you in finding a local testing center.
  • What should I do if I am COVID-19 positive immediately following the APTA PA MovePA 2021 Annual Conference?
    • Contact Tricia Long via email at [email protected] immediately.
    • We will be asking you who you may have had exposure to at the meeting (exposure is greater than 15 minutes of unmasked time within six feet of someone). We will notify all those that you identify you may have been exposed to that they may have been in contact with someone who has tested positive.
