Objectives:

1. To provide a mechanistic rationale for the integration of rehabilitation approaches in the development of regenerative medicine technologies.
2. Upon completion of the seminar, learners will be able to define Regenerative Rehabilitation and describe common approaches used in the regenerative medicine pipeline.
3. To expand the knowledge base surrounding the development of novel therapeutics for musculoskeletal applications. Specifically, this seminar will provide pre-clinical examples of the Regenerative Rehabilitation paradigm for the treatment of skeletal muscle injuries.
4. Upon completion of the seminar, learners will have refreshed their understanding of the regenerative cascade following a skeletal muscle injury and increased their exposure to cellular therapeutics and tissue engineering approaches that are being investigated to promote functional recovery after muscle injury.
