Course Description: Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Essentials course is designed to introduce and expand physical therapists and physical therapist assistants knowledge of the principles and application of Blood Flow Restriction (BFR). This course will cover the science behind BFR, its benefits, and how to safely and effectively apply BFR protocols for rehabilitation, strength training, and muscle conditioning. Participants will learn how to use BFR safely, understand the physiological impacts of restricted blood flow, and gain hands-on experience in applying BFR techniques across various populations, from athletes to injury-rehabilitation patients.

| Course Description: This comprehensive course provides an in-depth exploration of concussion management, focusing on the latest clinical practice guidelines for Physical Therapists. This course offers valuable insights into the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI). The curriculum is structured around the action statements from the 2020 clinical practice guidelines published in the Journal of Orthopedic Sports Physical Therapy. Key focus areas for this course will include the evolution of concussion care protocols, the best current practices in mTBI management, and emerging trends in the future of concussion rehabilitation. |

Pain without Pause: Pain Neuroscience Education and a Transdisciplinary Approach to Management

Course Description: Evaluation, assessment, treatment interventions utilizing a transdisciplinary approach to address chronic pain will be presented. Based on pain as a communication system and neuroplasticity principles, we will be utilizing evaluation, assessment, and identification of chronic pain diagnoses and integration of current pain neuroscience education theory. Novel approaches and a holistic chronic pain management plan will be explored. Total cost for chronic pain management (direct and indirect expenses) is 635 billion dollars annually. One third of the population suffers from chronic pain. Consistency with science-based outcome measured approach will improve patient function utilizing this approach.
