Vestibular Rehabilitation: BPPV and Beyond Integrating Hypofunction and Complex Cases

April 14, 2026 at 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Location: Hybrid; Carlow University, AJ Palumbo Center 3301 Fifth Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213

Hosted by the Southwest District and Geriatric SIG

This course takes clinicians beyond routine BPPV management and into the nuanced world of complex vestibular presentations, using real cases to illustrate clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis, and treatment progression. Through examples such as lateral canal conversions, Ramsay Hunt, related vestibular involvement, bilateral hypofunction, and fluctuating Ménière’s disease, participants learn how to interpret evolving findings, integrate patient narratives, and apply evidence‑based strategies across the continuum of care. The session emphasizes practical decision‑making, pattern recognition, and adaptable intervention planning, equipping therapists to manage both straightforward BPPV and the challenging, multifactorial cases encountered in everyday practice.

Speaker: Vijeta Parvatikar, PT, DPT, MS.
