Course Description: This cou rse will explain the principles of pelvic health physical therapy, which al l physical therapists should be aware of and understand. General explanatio ns of certain assessment and treatment techniques will be taught, and parti cipants will be taught how to screen for the need for referral to a pelvic health physical therapist, as well as how to locate pelvic health physical therapists in a specific area.
About the Speaker: Rachel Hohman, PT, DPT, WCS, graduated from Saint Francis University with her DPT in 2018 and immediately entered a Women’s Health Physical Ther apy Residency at Washington University in Saint Louis, MO. After completing the residency in August of 2019, she moved back to Pennsylvania and, since then, has worked for both Lancaster General Health and Penn State Health, treating exclusively pelvic health-related conditions. She received her Wom en’s Health Specialty Certification in July 2021. She is passionate about h elping women optimize their function through movement pattern re-training a nd comprehensive patient education.
