About APTA Pennsylvania

APTA Pennsylvania is a chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and we are pleased that you have taken this opportunity to learn more about us. 

APTA Pennsylvania’s core mission and vision:

Mission: To empower Physical Therapy professionals to be the providers of choice in improving the health and well-being of all people in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Vision: To transform society by optimizing movement to improve the human experience throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

APTA Pennsylvania is one of 50 State Chapters within the APTA and currently represents more than 5200 physical therapist and physical therapist assistant members and over 1000 student members across the Commonwealth. In addition, it represents seven Districts (Northcentral, Northeast, Northwest, Southcentral, Southeast, Southwest, and Westcentral) of the Commonwealth and seven Special Interest Groups (SIGs) consisting of Acute Care, Geriatric, Neurology, Pediatric, Physical Therapist Assistant, Private Practice and Student.
