Course Description:
Course will include the history of electrical stimulation and review of NMES. Pre and post surgery implications specifically to Total Knee, Hip and Shoulder Replacements. There will also be a review of protocols and relevant research.

More About the Speaker:
Ryann Cummings graduated in 2001 from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri with a Master of Physical Therapy degree. Her early career was spent in a variety of settings including inpatient, home health, and wound care treating a variety of populations including pediatrics. The majority of her clinical career was spent in the outpatient setting. Ryann began as a therapist and eventually a Site Manager for Healthsouth and Select Physical Therapy. She also worked as a Manager for Optimal Rehab and assisted with its expansion to a new location. Ryann worked as a Consultant and Clinical Educator for EMSI for 5 years prior to joining the company full time in 2018. In her role as Clinical Services Manager, she has written and presented on a variety of topics related to electrical stimulation and bracing and their application in the therapy clinic.
