APTA Pennsylvania ADAPT Scholarship

Submit your application for the APTA Pennsylvania ADAPT Scholarship! The APTA Pennsylvania ADAPT scholarship is a one-time monetary award of up to $10,000 to a PT or PTA education program to support development programs that aim to increase recruitment and enrollment of students from under-represented racial and ethnic minority groups (URMG). Application Deadlines

All applications are due August 31. Winners will be notified in September.

Program Requirements
  • Funding may not be used to support faculty salaries or stipends. All CAPTE accredited PT and PTA education programs in Pennsylvania are eligible to apply.
  • At least one faculty member of the program involved in submission of the grant application must be an APTA PA member.
  • At least one faculty member associated with the grant-supported program must serve on the APTA PA Minority Affairs Committee for a term of three years.
  • Provide APTA PA Minority Affairs Committee regular progress and accounting reports.
  • Share data collected, outcomes, and lessons learned with the APTA PA Minority Affairs Committee, and other PT and PTA programs.
  • The grant-supported program encourages to disseminate findings through professional conference presentations and/or journal publications.
  • PLEASE NOTE: In the event that the program requirements are not met, or that any terms of the contract are breached, the recipient must return the money within 30 days of notification from the Chapter.
